Music at Holy Trinity

We are very privileged at Holy Trinity to have an excellent professional choir and Director of Music to lead the musical parts of the sacred liturgy.

Each Sunday and major feast the Parish Mass is sung. It is sung either by the congregation to a plainsong setting led by cantors or a full Mass setting by the Choir taken from the great treasury of sacred music composed through the centuries for the greater glory of God. The Choir will often sing a motet during Communion also.

In addition to the Mass Ordinary (the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus Dei), the congregation always sing a plainsong Responsorial Psalm, the Creed and the Our Father, not to mention a couple of sturdy traditional hymns.

The Choir at Holy Trinity is arguably the best professional parish choir in Berkshire so if you like music then Holy Trinity might be a place for you!

Our Director of Music is Richard Smith, BMus ARCM ARCO (dip. CHD) LTCL.
